“Not everyone who says to ME
“Lord, Lord”
Will enter the kingdom of heaven
But he who does the will of My Father
WHO is in heaven will enter
Matthew 7:21
On this 26th day of April 2020, the news headlines for just the last week, are filled with many prophetic events from Ezekiel, Matthew and Revelation. And though not included in the illustration below, the current global headlines also included earthquakes, wars and raging fires:
- Ezekiel 14:21 speaks of four severe, catastrophic, or dreadful judgments (war, famine, wild beasts and plague) to cut off men and animals because of sin.
- Matthew 24:3-9 speaks of events (war, famines, earthquakes, persecution) that will signal HIS return. Matthew 24:8 identifies these events as birth pangs, indicating things will get more severe as HIS return draws nearer.
- Revelation 6:1-9 gives more detail concerning the events spoken of in Matthew 24:3-9, and tells us the birth pangs being experienced on earth are actually seals being opened in heaven.
On March 29, 2020 our Beloved LORD GOD sent me with the message “Take Heed.” The time of sleeping is over, it is time to be sober and alert, to the events happening all around us, events which signal HIS imminent return. Today, almost a month later, HE has sent me with the same message, HE first sent through HIS apostle Peter more than 2000 years ago.
May GOD give you more and more grace and peace
As you grow in your knowledge of GOD and JESUS our LORD
By HIS divine power, GOD has given us everything we need for living a godly life
We have received all of this by coming to know HIM
The ONE who called us to HIMSELF, by means of HIS marvelous glory and excellence
And because of HIS glory and excellence, HE has given us great and precious promises
These are the promises that enable you to share HIS divine nature
And escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to GOD’s promises
Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence
And moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control
And self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness
And godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone
The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be
In your knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST
But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind
Forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove
That you really are among those GOD has called and chosen
Do these things, and you will never fall away
Then GOD will give you a grand entrance
Into the eternal Kingdom of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
2 Peter 1:2-11 (New Living Translation)
As a result of this message it is imperative that we examine ourselves to see if we are still in the faith (2 Cor 13:5). We should start by honestly analyzing who is Lord of our lives.
How many of you know that salvation of our souls came not just with believing that both JESUS CHRIST is The only Begotten SON of GOD (Jhn 3:16), and GOD raised HIM from the dead as proof of WHO HE is (Rom 10:9-10, Act 17:31), but also that we must fully surrender our lives to HIM (Rom 10:9)? We are no longer the boss of our lives HE is!
Our Beloved LORD JESUS CHRIST tells us on judgment day (Mat 7:21), many will come before HIM saying “Lord, Lord” hoping to be given entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. But sadly HE will turn them away, because HE is not their LORD, and HE doesn’t know them because they continually lived a life of disobedience (Mat 7:22-23). This is a powerful lesson for all of us, doing things you think are pleasing to GOD, means nothing if you are not living a life obedient to GOD (1 Cor 13:1-3, 1 Jhn 4:16, Jhn 14:23).
There are two devastating statements not one of us would ever want to hear from our Beloved LORD JESUS CHRIST:
- “I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS” (Matt 7:23)
- “Why do you call ME, ‘Lord, Lord’, and do not do what I say?” (Luk 6:46)
Regrettably, many professing Christians do not know that JESUS HIMSELF will be The One WHO we will stand before to be judged for everything we did in our physical bodies (Act 17:30-31). Many have been quoted two passages from John (Jhn 3:17, Jhn 12:47), as the basis why JESUS does not judge. But if they had been good Bereans, or studied GOD’s WORD for themselves they would know HIS first coming was for salvation only, but HIS second coming will be for judgment (2 Cor 5:10). Each one of us will give an account of ourselves to GOD (Rom 14:12, Mat 16:27) for our:
- Words (Mat 12:34-37, Eph 4:29, Jam 3:9-10)
- Obedience (Mat 7:21-23, Luk 6:46)
- Relationship with HIM (Luk 13:22-30, Tit 1:16)
- Love for others (Mat 25:31-46, 1 Jhn 3:16-18)
- Readiness (Mat 25:1-13, Luk 12:35-38, Heb 9:28)
This message is not to bring fear and uncertainty about your relationship with our Beloved LORD GOD and Precious LORD JESUS CHRIST, instead in HIS great mercy and compassion, we are each being given an opportunity to examine ourselves.
And these words of comfort from HIM, for HIS faithful followers:
But if anyone loves GOD
He is known by HIM
1 Corinthians 8:3
No one who abides in HIM sins
No one who sins
Has seen HIM
Or knows HIM
1 John 3:6
According to 1 John 3:6, no one who sins, knows HIM. How can one not sin? If you carefully re-read 1 John 3:6, you will see the very first statement is “No one who abides in HIM sins.” That means if you abide in our Beloved LORD GOD and HE abides in you, you will not continually live a life of sin (practice – 1 Jhn 3:4-10).
If after examining your lifestyle through Scripture, and you feel convicted about something you are continually doing, knowing it is not pleasing to GOD. Seek HIS forgiveness (1 Jhn 1:9) and seek HIS help (Psa 51:6-13). HE promises not to cast out those who come to HIM (Jhn 6:37-40).
Now may the GOD of peace HIMSELF sanctify you entirely
And may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete
Without blame at the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST
Faithful is HE who calls you, and HE also will bring it to pass
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
